About the District

The Fellsmere Water Control District is a special district established by a Circuit Court Decree on April 8, 1919, and operates under Florida Statute 298. The District was created for the purpose of reclaiming the lands within its boundaries and for the further purpose of water control to make those lands available, acceptable and habitable for settlement and agriculture.
